Wigtown is the perfect place to have your wedding reception. A variety of venues, hotel, bed and breakfast and Self catering accommodation and great local businesses to deliver the wedding that you always dreamed about.
The County Building is a Grade B listed building in the very centre of Wigtown. It was built in 1863 and is iconic of Wigtown being the largest building in the town. The building was refurbished in 2003 with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and is still in daily use housing the library and museum as well as two large halls, meeting rooms and offices. It is rightly regarded as the most important building in the town.
There are two main halls available; The Main Hall which has a capacity for 150, and the Supper Room with a capacity of 80. There is also a commercial kitchen available to book with either hall. The Main hall has a stage area.

The Wigtown Hall is the former Church Hall. It was built by public subscription in 1933 and is a much loved community events building now owned and operated for the community by the Wigtown and Bladnoch Community Initiative. The building is being refurbished by the Initiative to include energy efficiency, Wi-Fi access throughout, improved lighting and full disability access.

The Print Room is centrally located in Wigtown right next to the Book Festival Shop. The venue can host up to 50 people in a variety of formats. It has a PA system and projector screen, wi-fi access and full blackout surrounds. Perfect for a meeting, small gathering, cosy performance or talk.
